Victor Knowles - Wednesday, December 25, 2013
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH JESUS! Eyewitness news was fortunate enough to get an interview with Jesus of Nazareth. Our video was down but we do have these historic soundbites, the Top Ten Reasons Why He Came to Earth, as it were. "I have come," said He, to do the Father's will (John 6:38), to bear witness to the truth (John 18:37), to be a Light unto the world (John 9:31), not to be served but to serve and to give My life as a ransom (Matthew 20:28), to call sinners to repentance (Mark 2:17), to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10), to preach the Good News of the Kingdom (Mark 1:38), to fulfill the law (Matthew 5:17), to die on the cross for the sins of mankind (John 12:27), and to give mankind life more abundantly (John 10:10). Eyewitness News would like to thank our four roving correspondents, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. for this exclusive interview!

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS

Victor Knowles - Tuesday, December 24, 2013
COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS (Episode 10). But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. (Galatians 4:4-5 RSV). This is Paul, appointed by Jesus Christ Himself to be an apostle, chosen by God even before I was born to proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles, reporting for Eyewitness News, and reminding you that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. If He could save me, He can save you!

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS

Victor Knowles - Monday, December 23, 2013
COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS (Episode 9). After this interview [with Herod] the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures chests and gave him gold, frankincense, and myrrrh. (Matthew 2:9-11 NLT). Reporting from Bethlehem for Eyewitness News, this is Matthew, former IRS man, wondering if those gifts were tax-deductible.

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS

Victor Knowles - Sunday, December 22, 2013
COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS (Episode Eight). King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem. He called a meeting of his leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, "Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?" "In Bethlehem in Judea," they said, "for this is what the prophet wrote: 'And you, O Bethlehem in the land of Judah...a ruler will come from you who will be the shepherd for my people Israel.'" (Matthew 2:3-6 NLT). This is Matthew, former IRS man, reporting for Eyewitness News, in Jerusalem. P. S. Herod told the wise men to bring the child back so that he could "worship" him, too. I don't think so.

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS (Episode 6). That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. 9 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! (Luke 2:8-11 NLT). This is Dr. Luke, special correspondent for Eyewitness News, nearly blinded by the celestial radiant light, in a field near Bethlehem.

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS

Victor Knowles - Thursday, December 19, 2013
COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS (Episode 5). And because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David's ancient home. He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, his fiancée, who was now obviously pregnant. And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them. (Luke 2:4-7 NLT). This is Dr. Luke, on the road with Joseph and Mary, reporting from Bethlehem, a silent night, where all is calm, all is quiet.
